About Randy Slifka

Since managing his first fund, which compounded 28 percent annually for 7 years net of all fees and expenses, Randy Slifka has developed considerable hedge fund expertise. After earning his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Brandeis University, Randy Slifka gained valuable experience with due diligence, principal investments, and sourced investments at Warburg Pincus before establishing Slifka Asset Management in 1985. Randy Slifka continues to offer his specialized skills in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and hedge fund manager analysis to a variety of clients through Slifka Asset Management. Dedicated to providing a high level of service, Randy Slifka continuously tracks more than 1,000 individual hedge funds and remains actively engaged with the professional community. Randy Slifka recently co-hosted a regional event for the Young Presidents’ Organization that featured prominent financial experts and focused on portfolio management during difficult economic times. In the past, Randy Slifka spoke at several GAIM Plan conferences. Gathering prominent fund managers and investors from around the nation, GAIM Plan provides a forum for debate about difficulties facing the financial services industry. In addition to aiding clients through Slifka Asset Management, Randy Slifka acts as a consultant to numerous high net worth individuals, remains involved with several think tanks, and sits on the acquisition boards of a number of New York City art museums. For more than two decades, Randy Slifka has collected modern art, collaborating with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. In 2006, American Art Collector magazine featured Randy Slifka’s collection.
